OOMPH! – the Album Cover and News from the Labyrinth!

All's Well That Ends Well … finished!!! We finally found the front cover for the "Monster" album! You sent us more than 600 (!!!) draft proposals from which OOMPH! now selected one. So it was you who caused it to be so long ;-). Really one is spoilt for choice, as the saying goes. Thank you very much for your incredible commitment and creativity!
The happy winner has already been notified – we will present you the "Monster" cover at myspace tomorrow.
And there is some more news from the Labyrinth Game, too!

You wanted more supply – you got it, of course… You will surely expect the uncensored version of the video of "Beim ersten Mal tut’s immer weh" – you still have to be a little patient, however… We also thought that it would be sooner, but the spirits seem to have conspired against the clip in dispute.
We give you feedback once the horror has ended – instead we offer you some first and exclusive glimpses of the Listening Session, which was already held for a selected audience of supporters and press people in May.
It will not be particularly spooky, but nevertheless exciting, as you will hear some first sound patches from the coming "Monster" album in addition to statements from Dero, Crap and Flux …so hold tight.

Chat Crashes Oomph! Server

Wednesday evening, the mass of people trying to access the announced chat with Oomph! in the Labyrinth Game was so huge that the server just couldn’t take it any more! Thanks again to all of you for the interest! Even the Forum felt the heat and crashed for a while. Of course, we’re hard at work trying to get everything back up online, and the Forum is already back. And we’ve also rescheduled the chat for today, Friday, July 18^th at 8:00 p.m. (CET). This chat will also be accessible outside the Online Game.

At the beginning of next week, the next action phase of the Labyrinth Game also begins with the premier of the 18+ version of the video for “Beim ersten Mal tut’s immer weh” in the game. You can still watch the 16+ version of the video on the Oomph! Channel at Myvideo. Enjoy!

OOMPH! – The “Monster” is coming!

Soon the waiting will be over, because on August 22^nd OOMPH! are finally releasing their 10^th studio album, “Monster”. It truly is a ‘monster’ of an album that does its name proud! The reactions from the press and fan clubs to the advance listening session was phenomenal, and the band is also all ‘chest out’ with pride! With this milestone, Dero, Crap and Flux have managed to create a link between the past, present and future. This includes reviving the EBM elements of their debut (“Revolution”) without any superfluous sentimentality, inimitably cultivating their very own sound from anthemic refrains, mighty guitar riffs, danceable beats, soundtrack-like passages and a healthy dose of pathos (“Beim ersten Mal tut´s immer weh”, “Labyrinth”), and they go beyond this to add utterly new touches such as the tango-rocker “In deinen Hüften” and the piano ballad “Auf Kurs”.
This masterpiece looks destined to repeat the past successes of numbers like the platinum single “Augen auf!”, the gold album “Wahrheit oder Pflicht” or their victorious winning song from Stefan Raabs Bundesvision Song Contest!
“Monster” will be available in a variety of configurations, all of which will be released simultaneously on August 22^ndinstead of cynically trying to get more $$$ out of your pocket by gradually releasing different versions in drips and drabs. Here’s an overview so that you can pick the version that’s right for you:

- The Standard Version comes in a jewel case and contains a total of 13 songs. The download versions at iTunes and Napster each feature a bonus track.
- The Limited Edition is an altogether chunkier package in a sleek digi-pack with a chocker-block bonus DVD. The absolute ‘cherry on top’ versions of the Limited Edition are available from Amazon and Müller, featuring a bonus track in addition to the DVD.

So watch out – the “Monster” is coming!!!

The video for the track "Labyrinth" is also being shot today. We had called on you to do a remake of your favorite Oomph! video and to upload it to the Oomph! Channel at Myvideo. We’re proud to announce that the winner of this contest is Melanie from U. She will be playing a role in the video and is on-hand at the video shoot.
Oomph! have also made a spontaneous decision to shoot another video for "Beim ersten Mal tut's immer weh". The ‘Approved for Viewers Under the Age of 16’ version is premiering tonight on Myvideo.de. The Uncensored Version of the video will only be available in the Labyrinth Game . We’ll reveal to you in the next few days when it will be premiering.

Oomph! Chat on Wednesday in the Labyrinth

On Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. (CET), Oomph! will be in the Chat Room in the Labyrinth Online Game to answer your questions. It doesn’t matter whether you want to find out more about their new album “Monster”, scheduled for release on August 22^nd, or whether you’re looking to find out other things from the boys. Ask the questions that are keeping you up at night! But remember, you can only access this chat room via the Online Game (www.oomph.de/labyrinth). So if you haven’t already registered as a user, now’s the time!

Oomph! Video action ends in one week!!

You’ve still got a chance to win the opportunity to play a role in the next Oomph! video. But you should hurry, because Oomph! will already be selecting the best actor or actress from among you at the beginning of next week. Just simply do a remake of your favorite Oomph! video scene and upload it to the Oomph! Channel at Myvideo. To get some inspiration, have a look at the fan videos that have already been uploaded here.

And the deadline for the cover action is also approaching fast. Oomph! will be choosing the winning cover this week so that “Monster” can go into production with this very cover. Here

Oomph! caught in a labyrinth

Suddenly you're standing in a blood-smeared laboratory where the doors can only be opened with secret codes. Dark passages...a gloomy cathedral...you're trapped in a labyrinth trying desperately to get out before it's too late.
We're not talking about a new horror film like Saw or Hostel. This is the new Oomph! Online Game that's going online this week at www.oomph.de. Here you can have a sneak preview at the trailer for the game. There are of course great prizes to win, too. Toward the end of the week we'll hook you up with details about the game.

For all of you who want a nostalgic look back at the fantastic weekend or who couldn’t be there in person, we’ll have a couple of pix from Rock am Ring up for you in the next few days. As you’re certain to know already, Oomph!’s long-awaited tenth studio album “Monster” finally hits the stores in Germany in August. And of course, this means another dark, gloomy video in the accustomed Oomph! fashion, like the video for the platinum single "Augen Auf!" from the gold-award winning "Wahrheit oder Pflicht" album, or "Gott ist ein Popstar" from their last studio album, "Glaube Liebe Tod". And now it’s your turn to get involved. You’ve got the once-in-a-lifetime chance to play a role in their next video!

Euro Championship 2008 – Tip against Oomph! and win!

The long wait is finally over and the 2008 EuroCup is just around the corner! Summer, sun, football – what more could you want? Oomph! are also fired up for the tournament and are looking forward to watching the first German match in the backstage area at Rock Am Ring. OOMPH! – Reunion at the Bundesvision Song Contest 2008!

2007 was a good year for OOMPH!: The “Rohstoff” DVD took the No. 1 spot in the Music DVD Charts and the boys also took top honors in the Bundesvision Song Contest with “Träumst Du”.

On February 14^th, they’ll be back together with DIE HAPPY front-lady Marta Jandová at the 2008 Bundesvision Song Contest in the TUI Arena to present the winning song once again as part of the show’s entertainment program.

Since January 4^th, the new single “Wach auf”, which is simultaneously the title track for the new Hollywood blockbuster "Aliens vs. Predator 2", has been on sale. “Wach auf” has subsequently found its home in the Top Ten of the Download Charts at both AOL and also at Musicload.de (single charts / rock charts).

And the next event for the trio is already coming up: On April 26^th, 2008 Dero, Crap and Flux are appearing at ‘Pop Meets Classic’ in the Volkswagen Halle in Braunschweig, Germany. More info will follow in the coming days or can be snatched up at www.undercover-net.de

The new year brings new sounds from OOMPH!. Starting today, Friday, Jan. 4^th, 2008, the band’s new single“Wach auf!” is officially on store shelves and is also featured as the title track to the new horror shocker “Aliens vs. Predator 2”, providing just the right musical atmosphere to accompany the shivers running down your spine!

“Wach auf! // Du bist mitten im Spiel…[…]” (‘Wake up! // You’re right in the middle of the game’) go the lyrics in the song…and with a little luck, this could apply to YOU in the current competition. This Hollywood blockbuster has already clocked up 400,000 viewers in its first weekend in Germany and is currently No. 2 on the list of Germany’s hottest movies at the moment. And of course the video for “Wach auf !” also features sequences from the horror shocker in the finest OOMPH! tradition.

OOMPH! VS. ALIENS VS. PREDATOR 2

December 26^th is going to be anything but cozy – instead of sitting with your loved ones in front of the Christmas tree, you should get to your favorite movie theater and watch the new film, "Aliens vs. Predator 2". And no less than Oomph! have contributed the title track, "Wach Auf!". The song will also be officially on sale from January 4^th, 08.

OOMPH! VS. ALIENS VS. PREDATOR 2 means one cult meets another at a completely new level. This time the beasts meet up in a small town full of people. Predator’s space ship crashes in the forests of Colorado, all because of a new type of creature, the PredAlien – a mixture of Alien and Predator. They tear off on a romp through the town until a Predator with special abilities, the Superpredator, shows up to rain on their parade. The ultimate B-movie battle of all time begins….
